StyleFiles: Summer Print Mixing

Playing with prints is currently a summertime pastime obsession of mine. Stripes and florals are my favorite combo but I don't discriminate! Bring on the polka dots, grid prints, and geo prints too!

|| Outfit Deets ||
Striped Scoop Neck Tee: Lavender Boutique {exact}
Floral Drawstring Shorts: Gap Outlet {sold out} {love these -only $25!}
Cobalt Flats: Express {love these} AND {these!}

|| Styling Tips ||
~ Stay in the same color scheme when mixing
~ Smaller prints work best together, if the prints are too big it can be overwhelming
~ You want one pattern to have a solid base for example, the shorts I am wearing have a navy base, it serves as an anchor for the complete look

This may be my first print mixing post for the season, but I can promise you it's not my last.  #youhavebeenwarned :)

{Questions of the Day}
What rules do you follow when print mixing?
Which prints are your favorite to mix?
Oh and of course, if you have a post about it- share the link in the comments! I would love to check out your print mixing skills!
